The fiction book I read was A Coal Miner's Bride,The Diary of Anetka Kaminska,written by Susan Campbell Bartoletti.  This book is about Anetka Kaminska a 13 yearold red-headed girl who wants to go to America and see her father who has set her up for arranged marriage to a Pennsylvania coal miner that does not even love her ,and now she is very furious and doesn't want to go to America anymore.  I really liked this book because Anetka meets a man named  Private Nasevich,who seems to joke around to much,and that really make Anetka mad.  In the back of the book it gave you the words in Polish that you have seen in the book when you're reading.  I also enjoyed the fact that it gave such amazing detail of the characters and how they speak.   So you can see why my favorite book that I read this year was A Coal Miner's Bride, The Diary of Anetka Kaminska.
